The Board of Directors of Everblue Massawippi is always on the job. A new page will be dedicated to the members in our newsletter. They have a lot to say… Jacques Foisy Spread the message When I was offered the position of VP Communications and Public Relations, I was told the organization wanted to make its position on various issues better known, and establish a constructive relationship with different environmental actors. This intention to spread the message and promote collaboration has materialized through our newsletter presentations to the Lake Massawippi watershed municipalities, and work with other environmental groups. Currently I […]
The AGM took place on June 30th. The presentations made by the main summer project actors were well received, as was the positive financial summary for the past year. Three new administrators, Paule Obermeir from North Hatley, Johanne Brouillet from Ayer`s Cliff and Jean-Marie Lefebvre from Stanstead East fill out the 11 person board of directors. The board is now made up of at least one person per municipality as well as a citizen from the larger watershed, one of the objectives of the 2012 strategic plan.

I have to admit I was sometimes sceptical. So much work was associated with our strategic review that some days I wondered if we were wasting our energy thinking rather than acting. But I was wrong. There are so many new items in this edition of the journal that we could have doubled the pages. No melodrama, no alerts, no warnings, just content, and positive content at that. Due directly to our strategic review, the energy flowing through the Association is electric. The LMWPA is now Everblue Massawippi. I’ll save you the description of the all debates around this decision. […]
Swept in on the dynamic wind already blowing within the Association this spring, the Annual General Meeting of June 17 brought even more vigor to the Council. No fewer than seven new administrators joined the Board. The first meeting took place on July 5th in an atmosphere full of the vitality and energy that is inevitably brought about by a change of this magnitude. Several former directors had expressed their desire to give up their seats should we be able to replace them. Volunteer work within an association such as ours is often thankless and unrecognized. The amount of work, […]
The LMWP wishes to acknowledge Marylynn Ross and Joey Marosi, two exceptional volunteers, who together sold a total of 108 tickets for the OCEANS movie. Thank you! Your Board of Directors attended a COGESAF meeting on the Lake Massawippi watershed on April 19th. The next edition of our newsletter will provide lots of information and news on the Tomifobia River. The LMWP continues to search for volunteers to be part of its committees. Should you be able to share some of your time, please do not hesitate to contact us: email@example.com Just prior to going to press, we received information […]
At the end of my message last fall, I indicated that we had a lot to accomplish during the winter season in order to prepare for summer 2010. And here we are with an unprecedented early spring. Yet, thanks to Mr Jake Eberts, prior to the breaking of ice on the lake, we were already preparing our first activity. The exclusive premier showing of the movie OCEANS was an immense success. Unfortunately, we were obliged to refuse requests by the dozen. Our thanks to those who supported us. It is very stimulating to embark in a new season with such […]
