Eleven acres of land given back to the community

A great acquisition from 4 of the 5 municipalities of the Parc regional Massawippi, the Massawippi beach (formerly plage Servite) is now public.

Hatley Acres, Hatley, St-Catherine-de-Hatley and Ayer’s Cliff (2 shares) have invested 1,5 million to give the access back to the local community. This major investment is only the beginning of a new and innovative long term project for the Parc regional Massawippi.

To better define the exact use of this future park, the municipalities will need time and money.

In the mean time, they have offered the management of the beach to a public partnership created for this purpose. The commercial aspect (conditions ordered by the regional Parc) will be managed by Alex Marcotte and his young enterprise, Marina Massawippi.

On the other hand, Everblue Massawippi will continue its environmental engagements by taking care of the citizen access, environmental protection, different services, non-commercial aspects as well as the overall quality of life.

This is the start of a new venture and we must be patient. But already, the cleanup has started and the difference is visible.
